Solar PV Kit

Solaray supplies a range of expertly engineered Solar PV Kits and associated products that provide electricity for off-grid and grid-tied installations.

Off-grid kits are ideally suited for locations where a grid supply is not available, or where the user wishes to be independent from Eskom. Clients often have a small diesel generator as a backup in case of extended inclement weather, thus avoiding an unnecessarily large system.

Grid-tied kits draw electricity from the grid when it is not being supplied by the PV panels or batteries (if any), and they can return surplus electricity to the grid, depending on the municipality and the kind of meter.

The kits are supplied with high-quality PV panels, and they come with combiner boxes to protect against surge and overload. Solaray also supplies ancillary equipment such as mounting frames and easy-to-install fixing plates.

Note: Stand-alone and integrated MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) Charge Controllers produce up to 30% more energy per day than conventional Charge Controllers.

Camping KitUninterruptable Power Supplies: Sets of batteries with matched bi-directional inverters that supply electricity when there is a power cut or during peak tariff periods. These can be supplied separately, or with Grid-Tied PV Kits, matched MPPT controllers and, depending on the meters, grid-tied limiters.

Camping Kits: An easy-to-carry case that contains a folding pair of self-standing PV panels with a maximum power output of 100W, together with a matched 3-staged charge controller that connects directly to a battery through a wiring harness.
